Two anti-drug bills moved forward Wednesday in Frankfort.

Speaker Greg Stumbo has a bill requiring pain clinics to be owned by doctors or nurse practitioners, and it would move the KASPER drug-monitoring program to the attorney general's control. All of this is an effort to fight pill mills. The House Judiciary Committee passed that bill Wednesday.

The same committee voted in favor of a bill strengthening laws against so-called 'synthetic' drugs that mimic the effects of real drugs.
