Kentucky traffic deaths are down from 2012 to 2013.

But it's still early.

State police say 87 people have died in crashes from January 1st to March 3rd.

The number was 114 for the first two months of 2012.

Troopers say about half of the people involved in car and truck crashes weren't wearing seat belts.

And one of the two motorcycle victims wasn't wearing a helmet.
