Troopers Investigate Reported Shootout In Russell Co.

State Police are trying to figure out why two men fired shots at each other in Russell County.

Troopers said Steve Pigman was in his car around 6:00 a.m. Monday when Trenni Chaney fired a handgun at the vehicle.

According to investigators, Pigman then used a shotgun to shoot at Chaney, hitting him.

Chaney was taken to U.K.Hospital.

State Police said Chaney and Pigman live at the same address on Murray Road.
