A man who was killed in a car crash Monday on US 68 is the father-in-law of the Fleming County Sheriff.

State Police say 60-year-old Harold McIntyre of Ewing was headed east when his pickup crossed into the westbound lane.

Investigators say the pickup hit a tractor trailer.

According to troopers, McIntyre died at the scene.

McIntyre was the father-in-law of Fleming County Sheriff Scotty Royse.

Investigators say the driver of the tractor trailer was treated for minor injuries at Fleming County Hospital and released.
