Transylvania President To Resign In 2014

Transylvania University has accepted the resignation of President R. Owen Williams.

The resignation is effective at the end of the 2013-2014 academic year. In May, The faculty took a 68-7 no-confidence vote in Williams. The same day, trustees took a unanimous vote of confidence in Williams.

School officials say a national search for a replacement will begin later this year.
