Train Hits Semi Stuck On Railroad Tracks

A train hit a semi that got stuck on the railroad tracks while trying to make a U-turn in Harrison County on Monday, according to the Sheriff's Office. No one was hurt.
A tractor trailer was hit by a train on Monday in Harrison County, according to investigators with the Harrison County Sheriff's Department.

Authorities said apparently the driver of the semi was trying to make a U-turn and got stuck on the tracks on County Infirmary Lane.

The driver was able to jump out of the rig before the train collided with the truck.

No one was hurt.

Reportedly the train's conductor tried to stop, but couldn't come to a complete stop before colliding with the semi.

The accident remains under investigation.
