Traffic Stop Leads To Marijuana Arrest

Frankfort Police arrested Eric Jockers on charges of drug trafficking within 1,000 feet of a school.
A Frankfort man was arrested on drug charges following a routine traffic stop.

Frankfort Police said Tuesday evening, an officer observed a car on East Main Street being driven without a registration plate.

The officer said after pulling the car over, he detected a strong odor of marijuana inside the vehicle.

Investigators said Eric Jockers, 20, of Frankfort, had marijuana, baggies, digital scales and more than $1,000 cash in the car.

Jockers was charged with Trafficking in marijuana (less than 8-ounces).  Trafficking a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.  No registration plates.  Failure to maintain insurance.

Jockers was taken to the Franklin County Regional Jail.
