Traffic Stop Lands Pulaski County Man In Jail On Drug Charges

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office said Hubert Dugger, 36, of Nancy, had meth and a 9mm semi-automatic handgun hidden in the air filter in the engine of a car he was riding in.
The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office said a traffic stop landed a man in jail on drug charges.

Investigators said Tuesday around 10:00 p.m., Sheriff's Deputies pulled over a car on Highway 235 in the western part of the county.

During the stop, deputies said they found a quantity of methamphetamine and a 9mm semi-automatic handgun hidden in the air filter in the engine compartment of the car.

The passenger in the car, Hubert Earl Dugger, 36, of Nancy, was arrested and charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree 2nd Offense, enhanced with the use of a firearm, which is a class A felony, according to investigators.

Dugger was lodged in the Pulaski County Detention Center.

Investigators said the driver of the car wasn't charged.
