Kentucky State Police, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and Kentucky Speedway will implement a media mix consisting of local media outlets, roadside message boards, Facebook and Twitter to provide consistent traffic and parking updates to race fans traveling to the track for the June 27-29 NASCAR tripleheader race weekend.

June 27th it's the Camping World Truck Series "UNOH 225," June 28th features the Nationwide Series "Feed The Children 300," and the marquee event is the Sprint Cup Series "Quaker State 400" on June 29th.

One change from last year is that those accessing ADA parking will be able to use both Exit 55 and Exit 57 to reach the designated parking areas.

Fans can follow @kystatepolice (https://twitter.com/#!/search/Kentucky%20State%20Police) and @KySpeedway  (http://bit.ly/KYSTwitter) on Twitter and join the “Kentucky State Police” (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Kentucky-State-Police/103979825675)
and “Kentucky Speedway” (http://bit.ly/KYSFB) Facebook communities. Fans within five to seven miles of the track can tune to 1620 AM along with local outlets. Updates will include information regarding general traffic flow and any detours created in the event of accidents.

Also, the Kentucky State Police is advising all Commercial Motor Vehicle traffic to avoid the Gallatin County area, specifically Interstate 71, on June 28 and 29, 2013.   A large traffic volume is expected in the area because of the NASCAR races.

An alternate route has been established for Commercial Motor Vehicles on June 28 and 29 to avoid congestion and delays on Interstate 71.  Commercial Motor Vehicles in transit between Louisville and Cincinnati are advised to utilize Interstates 64 & 75.

Traffic traveling towards Louisville from Cincinnati:  Travel I-75 to Lexington.  At exit 118, merge onto I-64 West.  Continue I-64 West to Louisville.

Traffic traveling towards Cincinnati from Louisville:  Travel I-64 to Lexington.  At exit 75, merge onto I-75 North.  Continue I-75 North to Cincinnati.
