The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that a traffic diversion for US 60 is scheduled.

The traffic switch is necessary for the rehabilitation project to progress (paving operations).

  • Friday, Sept. 20 at approximately 2:00 p.m. – westbound traffic on US 60 will be shifted from the right (slow) lane to the left (fast) lane.

Both lanes on the eastbound side will be open to traffic.

  • A reduced speed limit of 45 MPH with double fines will be in place for violations that occur within the work zone.

All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.
