Traffic Deaths Down in 2011

The number of traffic deaths in Kentucky is down from 2010 to 2011.

As of December 26th, 709 Kentuckians had been killed in accidents during 2011. That's 45 fewer than the same period from 2010, according to numbers from Kentucky State Police.

Over the Christmas weekend, three people died in crashes in Kentucky. That's from six p.m. Friday until 11:59 p.m. Monday. The three deaths occurred in Hardin, Hart, and Warren counties. Two of the three victims were not wearing seat belts.
