Traffic Alert: Lane Shifts And Closures Scheduled Along I-75 In Fayette County

The state is scheduled to divert traffic and close ramps along a stretch of I-75 in Fayette County beginning on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, for surfacing work.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announced that a traffic diversion and ramp closures were scheduled for Interstate 75 in Fayette County for final surfacing work.

The work schedules are:
  • Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 7:00 p.m.  Southbound traffic will be switched from the current alignment (inside shoulder and left/fast lane to the outside shoulder and right/slow lane).  Traffic will be in this new configuration for approximately two weeks.
  • Wednesday, July 16, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2014.  The northbound Entrance Ramp 99 (US 25 onto northbound I-75) will be closed.
  • Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18, 2014.  The northbound Exit Ramp 99 (northbound I-75 onto US 25) will be closed.
For a reference point, mile point 98 is the Clay's Ferry Bridge at the Fayette-Madison County line.
