More than 100 Toyota employees headed to work Sunday but they weren’t making cars.
These employees were helping spruce up Salato Wildlife Education Center in Frankfort.
Joining nearly 200,000 people across the country, they recognized National Public Lands Day.
“It's a place where students and the community at large can come and learn about the truly fantastic resources, natural resources we have here in the Commonwealth of Kentucky,” said Walter Odisho, VP of Manufacturing. “We believe that the value added by this facility is most certainly worth the effort.”
Team leaders say the crew did a year’s worth of work in about four hours.
