Toyota Teaching Teens How to Drive Safer

Hundreds of teens and their parents spent time at the Toyota plant in Georgetown learning and practicing emergency driving maneuvers.
Teaching a teen to drive can be a nerve-wracking experience for some parents.

On Saturday at the Toyota plant in Georgetown, driving experts were helping alleviate some of those nerves, educating teens and parents how to be safer drivers.

Those conditions included sudden breaking and other emergency maneuvers, giving the teen drivers their first feel of what it's like to have to slam on the brakes.

Toyota has been putting on their driving expectations class since 2004 in different regions across the nation, but never before here at the Georgetown plant in central Kentucky.

Both parents and teens who come out to the class say they learn a lot and look at driving and teaching driving much different.
