The National Weather Service says an EF-0 tornado with winds up to 85 MPH touched down in Marion County.  The tornado destroyed a mobile home, and sent a 7-year-old to the hospital.

The NWS says the twister needed only 20 seconds to destroy the home.  The Owner's mother says bad things come in three's.

"He's got cancer, and he's had a hear attack and everything, and now has to go through this here too," said Linda Colvin, the owner's mom.

The tornado touched down around 6 AM.  Colvin says the family didn't have enough time to get out.  Her 7-year-old grandson needed 30 stitches after debris ripped his leg open.

"Cut was about like that, if you measure it all together, and you could see the bone," said Colvin.

The NWS says the tornado zeroed in on the Colvin's trailer.

"Homes just 25, or 30 yards on either side of it, there's not even a shingle off.  The only damage to this mobile home over here is the debris that came from this one," said Joe Sullivan, a NWS Warning Coordination Meteorologist.

Although the home is destroyed, the family members are thankful nobody died in the storm.

"It looks pretty rough, and I'm just thankful to G-d that things wasn't no worse than what it is," said Colvin.

For a while, she feared the worst.  Winds knocked her TV out, so she turned on the police scanner.

"It said the ambulance has been called to 9723 Calvary Road," said Colvin.

She listened while dispatchers sent an ambulance to her son's home.
