The top prospect in the coverage area this past season on the football field was no doubt Franklin County athlete Ryan Timmons.

Timmons seemingly did everything for the Flyers over the past four years.

Today, Timmons made his college choice official.

He'll be playing for Mark Stoops and the Kentucky Wildcats next season.

Mainly because when the Cats situation changed as the old coaching staff hit the road and the new guys came in, Timmons went from being 'needed' to being 'wanted.'

And even though both still mean being recruited, there's a big difference.

Check out the attached video to hear from Timmons and his high school coach Chris Tracy about becoming a Cat.
