A fire in a kitchen Monday night led to the evacuation of a three-story apartment building in Lexington.

It happened shortly after 9:00 in the 1900 block of Cambridge Drive.

Firefighters said the fire probably started on the stove in a downstairs apartment.

But the official cause is still under investigation.

Crews said that everyone got out safely.

Investigators said the damage was minor and that everyone would be able to get back into their apartments tonight.
