In honor of "Wear Red For Women" day thousands of people across the Bluegrass traded in their blue for some red Friday.

Macy's Department Store at Fayette Mall offered free blood pressure screenings and twenty percent off for anyone who showed up sporting red. Regan Judd, a heart disease survivor has devoted her life to spreading the message about heart disease.

"I am actually a heart disease survivor, I had open heart surgery at the age of 20, and I have made it my mission to Go Red, and bring awareness that heart disease is the number one killer of women," said Judd.

Rupp Arena is expected to get into the "Go Red" spirit tonight by changing all of its lights to red around 6:30 p.m.
