Thousands In Cash Seized During Traffic Stop

A DEA agent seized thousands of dollars in cash found hidden in a car after a traffic stop in Rockcastle County.

It happened around 7:45 p.m. Sunday on I-75, near mile marker 55.

Troopers said they became suspicious during the stop and called in a K-9 unit.

During a search of the car, troopers said they discovered $13,640 in cash hidden in two separate parts of the car.

So far no charges have been filed.

The investigation is continuing.
