Organizers of the inaugural 'Run With All Your Hart' race were expecting 700 to a thousand runners to participate, they saw more than four thousand.

Portions of Highway 127 were blocked off as a long steady stream of runners and walkers raced around the four and a half mile loop early Saturday morning.

The event was help to celebrate the life of the late Sarah Robertson Hart, who was strangled to death in June while out running along Highway 127.

Hart was pregnant at the time of her death.

Family and friends were amazed at how many people showed up for the race. Some of the runners even came from other parts of the country.

The proceeds from the race will go to the Sarah Robertson Hart Fund, which will award scholarships to local students going to college for pharmacy or medicines.
