In the Winner's Circle, "The Horse," UK's all-time leading scorer, Dan Issel, picked up a trophy, dipped it into Maker's Mark's iconic wax, and successfully pulled it back out to applause.

The trophy goes to the winner of the Maker's 46 Mile.

"I had a good teacher, and I had some practice, so it went pretty well," said Issel.

He dipped the trophy, because his image appears on Maker's Mark's 17th anniversary Keeneland bottle.

Issel says he never imagined his face on a bottle of bourbon.

"No, and I'll tell who's really impressed, my kids.  I think they think this is better than being inducted in the hall of fame," said Issel.

Fans and bourbon enthusiasts came to Keeneland early Friday morning to have Issel sign their bottle.

Sidney Sea's bottle is missing something.

"His signature," said Sea.

Issel signed from 6:30 AM until about 10. Sea came just a tad too late.

"I got a bottle not signed, but maybe if Dan hears this he'll look me up and sign it for me anyway," said Sea.

Friday, Keeneland brought together some of the best horses in the world, plus "The Horse," and Maker's Mark for a fun day at the track.
