Thailand native Nat Yuttayong, owner of Thai Nat's Restaurant in Lexington, is organizing a fundraiser for typhoon victims that will include free food at McCarthy's Irish Pub.
Thailand native Nat Yuttayong, who owns and operates Thai Nat's Restaurant in Lexington, is organizing a fundraiser for victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

The public is invited to McCarthy's Irish Pub at 117 S. Upper Street in Lexington on Friday, December 6, 2013, for free food from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

"A lot of food comes from my kitchen and a lot of the local restaurants around town are going to participate in the event as well," said Yuttayong.

Anyone who attends is welcome to make a donation to the typhoon relief fund.

Yuttayong said he can empathize with the typhoon victims after a tsunami devastated his home country in 2004.

"Now, it comes my turn to help somebody else," Yuttayong said.
