Text Message Sent To Police Officer Lands Man In Jail

Irvine Police Captain Adrian McKinney said he received a text from a man offering to sell him marijuana. That text led to an arrest in Pulaski County.
Irvine Police said a 'wrong number text' led them to an alleged marijuana seller.

Investigators said someone texted Irvine Police Captain Adrian McKinney offering to sell marijuana.

With the help of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, Irvine Police found and arrested Bretton W. Jones, who was accused of trafficking.

A discrepancy in the suspect's name should be noted.  A news release from Irvine Police said the man's name is Brenton W. Jones.  The Pulaski County Detention Center Website, where the suspect was being held, listed him as Bretton W. Jones.

ABC 36 News tried to contact jail officials and Irvine Police to clear up the discrepancy, but were unable to resolve the issue.  So, as of this writing, we don't know which first name is correct.
