Midnight Update: The rain is starting to break apart, but there are still a number of areas seeing rain right now. It still looks like we will dry out in plenty of time for the Monday morning commute.
The rain has helped to quickly drop our temperatures tonight. Lexington is at 58° with mid 50s in southern Kentucky.
Meteorologist Michael Estime will update you on our chances for rain throughout the work week starting at 5 a.m. on Good Morning Kentucky.
Rain is pushing north this evening and it looks like most of us will at least see some light rain. A few heavier showers could mix in as well. By morning, we should be mostly dried out. Morning lows will be in the low 50s.
It looks like nearly everyone will stay dry Monday, but a couple spotty showers aren't out of the question. We will start the day with mostly cloudy skies and could see a little more sunshine late in the afternoon. Temperatures will climb into the low 70s again in the afternoon.
The warming trend will continue Tuesday into the upper 70s. A couple scattered showers and storms will be possible.
