Carlos Turner is no longer with us. He died of cystic fibrosis four years ago.
But Carlos is still contributing to his community, thanks to his two great passions: cooking and helping others. He created a barbecue sauce, and according to his family, that recipe was a secret. And his last wish was for that sauce to be marketed.
And this week, it happened. In Louisville, a new barbecue sauce is on Wal-Mart shelves. The sauce, from Bloemer Food Sales. The sales benefit the Kosair Children's Hospital, where Carlos spent time before his own death at the age of 16.
