Teenager Escapes House Fire In Lincoln County

A teenager escaped a house fire Friday night in Lincoln County, according to officials.

Investigators said a 13-year old boy was taking a nap in his home on Water Cemetery Road in Kings Mountain, when he awoke to smoke.

He made it out of the burning home that was destroyed.

The teen was taken to an area hospital to be checked out.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
