Teenager Accused Of Breaking Into Neighbor's Home

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office said a 17-year old was found hiding under a bed in his neighbor's home after reportedly breaking-in because he wanted to "look around."
A teenager in Laurel County is accused of breaking into his neighbor's home to "look around," according to investigators.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office said a deputy responded to a burglary complaint at a home on McKinley Lane, 11-miles south of London on Sunday evening.

Investigators said they found a chair by a rear window of the home and that the window had been raised.

The Sheriff's Office said a deputy entered the home through the open window, searched the house and found a 17-year old boy hiding under a bed.

Investigators said the teen was taken into custody without incident.  They said he was charged with Burglary 2nd Degree.

The teen was released to his parents for juvenile court proceedings scheduled later this week, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Because of his age, the suspect's name was not released.
