The remodel of Kroger on Tates Creek Road is over, and the expanded store is ready to cut the ribbon to launch its grand reopening Thursday morning at 8.

To celebrate, the first 500 customers at the reopening will get a complimentary three-pound package of Private Selection Angus Ground Chuck.

The 105,000 square foot store is now state-of-the-art, boasting larger selections of produce, meat and deli items. It also includes shoppes for seafood, select cheese products, and wine and spirits.

The larger store has created an additional 45 jobs, bringing the number of employees up to around 240.

The Tates Creek Kroger will remain open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
