According to court documents, a female employee told police Hinkle touched her breasts and put his hand down her pants twice, on two separate occasions. The employee said the first incident happened July 31, and again on August 4. She told police at least one incident was caught on camera.
The TSA released this statment Tuesday:
“Shane Hinkle is no longer employed by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). TSA holds its employees to the highest ethical standards and expects all employees to conduct themselves with integrity and professionalism. After TSA leadership was notified of the allegations Aug. 6, the employee was immediately placed on administrative leave and the agency commenced an investigation.”TSA Spokesman Jonathan Allen said Hinkle resigned from his position.
Hinkle faces four counts of sexual abuse.
His preliminary hearing is set for August 29 at 8:30 a.m.
