Two men told a Lexington judge Thursday that they were not guilty in a high-profile kidnapping and murder.

Mark Taylor and Timothy 'Tiny' Ballard are accused in the death of Alex Johnson.

Prosecutors said Johnson's body was found last month in a barrel in the Kentucky River.

According to court documents, Ballard confessed to kidnapping Johnson and said he watched as Taylor beat Johnson to death.

Taylor and Ballard are due back in court in April.
