A suspected prank shut down a McDonald's in Lexington Friday morning.
The fire department was called to the McDonald's on South Limestone just after 3 a.m..
Fire officials said employees told them someone called business and told them they needed to test their fire suppression system.
Employees pulled a pin located on the wall that then dumped a fire-suppressing chemical all over the kitchen.
That forced the closure of the business as it was cleaned up.

I got drilled for that one time at Georgetown college by management, pulling on a fire alarm. Funny thing was I was with everybody else at the time. Another guy was the only one in the building alone. We were being showed by a guy how to use a chemical in showers. He poured the whole bottle in a bucket of water, I told him they aint going to let us do that, then he said just use half the bottle and I again replied they aint going to let us do that.Never could figure gettin accused of the deed with the fire alarm, guess the Physical plant manager had it out for me.Heard some other stuff as that later. Here-say. Of course ended up fired from there cos of 2nd hand talk. Better for all! Well except my paranoia.
