Suspect Arrested In Lexington Arson

Charles Goldsberry was arrested and charged with arson Monday morning in connection with a house fire on East Second Street in Lexington.
Fire investigators with the Lexington Fire Department knew early on that the house fire on East Second Street was intentionally set on December 26.

Monday morning, 47-year-old Charles Goldsberry of Lexington was arrested and charged with arson.

Two people inside the home at the time of the fire safely escaped, but Jeremy Bruner, a Lexington Firefighter was injured fighting the fire.

Bruner returned to work Sunday, but officials say he experienced increasing pain and was scheduled to see the doctor again Monday afternoon.
