'Surgery On Sunday' Receives $65,000 From Dancing With The Lexington Stars Fundraiser

The Rotary Club of Lexington presented a $65,000 check to 'Surgery on Sunday' from money raised from the annual Dancing with the Lexington Stars event seen exclusively on ABC 36.
The Rotary Club of Lexington presented a check for $65,000 to the non-profit charity, 'Surgery on Sunday.'

The money was raised from the annual 'Dancing with the Lexington Stars' event that was aired exclusively on ABC 36 this year.

'Surgery on Sunday' is made up of surgeons, nurses and other medical professionals who donate their time, talent and expertise for free to provide free outpatient surgical procedures for people who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford the treatment.

This year's fundraising amount was $15,000 more than what the event raised last year.
