Sunday: Afternoon Storms

Sunday: Afternoon Storms

We'll start out dry in the Commonwealth but a cold front moving in from the west will bring scattered strong to severe storms by afternoon and evening.
Sunday will start out dry and windy with south winds around 15-25 mph, gusting to 30 mph.
The cold front will spark afternoon thunderstorms in the Midwest by the late afternoon or evening.
There will be a potential for strong to severe storms with damaging winds being the main threat.

Only a few stray showers will linger in SE Kentucky by Monday morning.
Skies will clear from the west to east with noticeably cooler temperatures.
Afternoon highs will peak in the low to mid 60s.

We will then stay dry through the mid-week.
Our next rain maker arrives late Thursday into Friday.
