One of Kentucky's top Democrats had good things to say Thursday about potential US Senate Candidate Ashley Judd.

Judd is a Democrat, considering a challenge to Republican Senator Mitch McConnell.

House Speaker Greg Stumbo said Thursday Judd would be a strong candidate.

He says, "She's a fresh face. She's got some new ideas. I don't agree with her everything. Most Kentuckians like people that they have genuine disagreements with, but still solve problems. And my take on her is she's probably more of a problem solver, because she's a bright, articulate person. I just think she'll be a formidable candidate if she chooses to get in the race."

Stumbo and Judd have not talked about the race.

But Stumbo says they will.
