Maxwell Elementary School students dance for four hours straight to raise money for pediatric cancer research.
Five 5th grade students organized the “Dance Blue Mini,” which is a fundraiser for Jarret’s Joy Cart and childhood cancer research.
The children said it took them four months to put the Dance-a-thon together. Their motivation to start this event was to help their peers who are battling cancer and give back to the community.
This event is similar to UK’s Dance Blue where college students dance for 24 hours to raise money for cancer research, which will take place next weekend.
