Teens at Dunbar High School got a very important lesson outside of the classroom Monday afternoon.

AT&T was at the high school to steer teens away from texting and driving. It's part of a campaign the company has started teaching teens the dangers of texting and driving.

The company uses a driving simulator to illustrate their message. The teens are asked to put a simulator on and then interact with the device.

Those in charge of the event said the device asked the kids to look down at their phones and then back up at the road and see how much texting affected their driving. AT&T says their message got across to most of the teens who tried the device.
