Students Hold Rally For Reproductive Rights

Students from across Kentucky came together Tuesday morning to advocate for comprehensive sexual education, protections for teens that are dating, and access to reproductive health services.
Dozens of students from across Kentucky came together in Frankfort Tuesday to push for sexual education reform.

Students met with legislators to ask for comprehensive sexual education in Kentucky schools, protections for teenagers who are dating, access to reproductive health services, and LGBT equality.

"The bill would mandate that all sexual education be comprehensive and that it would include information on abstinence, contraception, but go beyond the birds and bees to talk about healthy relationships, goal setting," said Derek Selznick, the Reproductive Project Director.

The group said the bill would allow each school to decide how they want to implement the education.
