Lexington Student Starts Facebook Page To Save Arts Programs

A Lafayette High School Senior used facebook to drum up support for art programs in the district.

The push came after Fayette County Schools announced that it needed to trim $20 million from its budget.

So far, no cuts have been announced for the schools' art departments.

But Robert Craig, 18, did not want to take any chances.

The Lafayette senior is in the band and chorus.

He created the page 'Save FCPS Arts' last week.

As of Tuesday, it had more than 2,600 'likes.'
