School Officials say a Morton Middle School student brought a switchblade to school Thursday.

Ronda Runyan, the principal of Morton Middle School said the knife was discovered in the student's backpack during a class change. Officials said the student never threatened anyone, and they don't believe students were ever in any danger. She said the student will face legal consequences through the court system.

A letter was sent home to Morton Middle School Parents Thursday evening.
