Two separate instances over the past week at Lee County Schools have parents concerned.

Jim Evans, Superintendent of Lee County Schools, says a middle school student wrote "I am going to bomb the school" on a piece of paper and handed it to a teacher Tuesday.

Evans says the student was isolated and later arrested. He is being held at a juvenile detention center.

Last Thursday, Evans says there was a rumor that a student had brought a gun to Lee County High School. He said the school was searched and nothing turned up.

Evans said the threats are disruptive, and added that as they continue the punishments will become more strict.
