Strong to Severe T-Storms This Evening, Tonight

Temperatures will rise into the lower 70s late today as a front lifts northeast across the area. Strong storms will be likely tonight.
A warm front will slowly drift northeast across the area before stalling this evening, and temperatures will climb into the lower 70s.  It will be breezy, with winds from the south at 10-15 mph.  Most places will be dry through most of the afternoon.  Only an isolated shower or thunderstorm is expected before evening.  A strong disturbance will arrive late this evening and into the overnight hours, and this will produce a round of potentially severe thunderstorms tonight.  Hail and wind are the primary concerns, although the possibility of an isolated tornado somewhere in the Ohio Valley cannot be ruled out.  Very unsettled weather will continue through the weekend and even into early next week as a front remains stalled across Kentucky.  Showers and thunderstorms will be scattered, at least in some part of central and eastern Kentucky, each day through the seven-day forecast.  Temperatures will range from the lower 60s to the middle 70s for highs, which is near normal for late April.
