State Police say a man shot a woman in Pulaski County with officers there at the time.

Troopers say they were called to check on a home on Okalona Road in Nancy.

They say when they got there, a woman came to the door and they saw a man with a gun.

Troopers say the man pulled the woman back into the house and they heard a gunshot.

Police say the man then came back out and pointed the gun at them, so they shot him.

Timmy K. Hislope is now at UK Hospital.

The Coroner says Mary Amanda Hislope died at the scene.
