State Police served a search warrant Thursday at The Discount Tobacco Store at 124 Shoppers Village Plaza in Winchester.

State Police said the search warrant was the result of several purchases of synthetic drugs from the store.

State Police said during the course of the investigation, detectives learned of an illegal gambling operation being run in the business.

State Police said they seized $51,605 in addition to a large quantity of synthetic drugs (approximately 2,000 packages) and 8 gambling machines.

State Police said James Clevenger, 53, of Winchester, was charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance First Degree.
