State Investigates Mining Death In Pike County

There's been a mining death in Kentucky.

The state says someone died Monday morning at the McCoy Elkhorn Coal Mine Number 23 in Pike County.

The Office of Mine Safety says 33-year-old Farley Sargent died when part of a coal pillar wall fell.

The state is investigating.
