Some bad news for state agencies now bracing for substantial funding cuts in the next budget cycle.

Governor Beshear's administration says the reductions could be between 7%- 9% below the current spending levels.

State agencies have worked around budget cuts over the past 4 years with the economic recession.

Some have reduced spending during that time by up to 30%.

Beshear's staff says Kentucky is gearing up for a tough, two-year budget cycle.
