State Police say someone tried to use their car as a battering ram against an Anderson County deputy.

They say they were helping with a harassment complaint last night on Mays Road in Lawrenceburg... when they say a man started shooting at them.

Troopers say the man tried to drive off and slammed into a deputy's cruiser... which disabled his 'own' vehicle.

49-year-old Timothy Nutgrass was taken into custody.

No one was hurt in the incident.
