Governor Steve Beshear thanked legislators Friday for ending the special session in what he calls the "shortest possible time."
That's after lawmakers gave final approval on a $4.5 billion transportation budget.
It would pave highways, build bridges and expand airports across the state.
The House and Senate also approved legislation that targets drug abuse.
It would require Kentucky physicians to use a prescription drug monitoring system.
