Special Olympics Fundraiser Brings in Over $16,000

Saturday, Special Olympics of Kentucky hosted the fourth annual Big Brown Truck Pull at Lexington Green.

166 competitors from 15 business and other organizations in the Lexington area went head to head to see who could pull and 18-wheel UPS truck 12 feet in the shortest amount of time.

The Lexington Police Department won the men's division, Kentucky State University won the women's division, and Lexington Community Corrections won the co-ed division.

The $16,708 brought in by the event will benefit the Special Olympics.
