Somerset Goes Wet

Kentucky's largest "dry" town won't be dry much longer. Somerset voted for alcohol sales Tuesday. The vote was 2,167 to 1,464.
It's the largest dry city in Kentucky. But that's about to change.

Tuesday, voters in Somerset voted to allow alcohol sales. The vote was 2,167 yes, and 1,464 no. That's a percentage of 59.7% to 40.3%

The vote means qualifying restaurants will be able to serve liquor, once the law goes into effect. Package liquor sales will also be allowed.
